When the Master of Finance and Control program was launched by the Department of Financial Studies 20 years back, it was a foray in an uncharted territory in the Indian educational scenario. Based on the lines of MS(Finance) offered internationally, it was a one of its kind, niche course in Finance, designed and developed to cater to the needs of the opening Indian financial sector.

Today, it is not enough to understand Finance, Marketing or Operations as standalone functions but in entirety. One has to learn how to innovate taking a holistic view of the enterprise and use advanced tools of analysis. The decisions have to be based on scientific enquiry and objective judgment. Master of Finance and Control students bring this value to firms i.e. the ability to crunch numbers along with the personality to execute tasks with efficacy.
